Each year, ITS Arizona sponsors an internship opportunity with a local agency or consultant. The most recent ITS Arizona intern is Gabrielle Bovaird, who will be working with the City of Glendale Transportation Department. Gabrielle is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, planning to graduate in the spring of 2018. Gabrielle hopes to offer a unique perspective from a mechanical engineering background to this position. As an intern with the City of Glendale, Gabrielle will contribute to projects involving traffic mitigation and the traffic management center. She is excited to see and be a part of the implementation of connected vehicle technologies in the coming years.
